My friend “the media”

It's Hard to Find a Friend

Image via Wikipedia

For all intents and purposes the feminine is included in the masculine.

My friend “The media” is a POWERFUL tool; he can be entertaining, disruptive, informative or distracting. But most importantly he is pure propaganda!

He comes in all shapes and sizes… And when used right he can be life changing. When misinterpreted or left to his own vices he is more often than not – destructive!

He serves the needs of those in power and of the rich AND at any given time – far from him the idea of being independent. After all, for him to succesfully work, he must have money – and money means well he is a business. And a business means that HE MUST SELL whatever the ‘price’.

But what amazes me most with my friend is that he has such loyal followers who tend to take his words as the ultimate truth – forgetting to do due diligence and finding out what the others might have to say. Forgetting to judge him and question his credibility – forgetting to be OBJECTIVE.

People I tell you Practice reasonable thinkingBecause MY friend the media isn’t really your friend, you see HE is controlled and perpetuated by people with “interest”

INTEREST; now there is a heavy loaded word – it makes this world go round and the best thing you can do is to learn to fight for your own, no one else will

But I have to thank my friend for allowing me to share this with you because without HIM we couldn’t discuss share and communicate.

Learn a thing or two from my friend.

I agree with you when you say that we are all victims of the media. For me the media tends to be overwhelming more then being helpful. There aren’t that many places where you can go without feeling its presence.
The only place that I know where you can find peace is my own village in Cameroon. Sounds crazy, but for me the media still hasn’t conquer that part of my world… and it is refreshing to go back out there and breathe.

Thank God for that piece of us that remains untainted. Even if lately everyone seems to take the mobile phones (smart phones) to the village… i always say that when wants real peace and tranquility they leave all technology behind. i would love to hear how the media player or not a role in your career.

Keep your friend close and the media closer.
